June is Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, while also encouraging brain health across all ages.
Alzheimer's disease is a progressive condition that affects memory, thinking, and behavior. It is the most common form of dementia and impacts not only those diagnosed but also their families, caregivers, and communities.
Early signs may include memory loss that disrupts daily life, confusion with time or place, difficulty completing familiar tasks, and changes in mood or personality. While there is currently no cure, early detection and supportive care can significantly improve quality of life.
This month serves as a reminder that brain health matters at every stage of life. Engaging in regular physical activity, maintaining social connections, eating a balanced diet, and challenging the brain through learning are all ways to support cognitive health.
At Harvest Healthcare Solutions, we recognize the challenges individuals and families face when navigating memory-related conditions. Our team is committed to providing compassionate housing and care coordination support that prioritizes dignity, safety, and stability. We work alongside community partners to help ensure individuals have access to the supportive environments they need to live as independently and comfortably as possible.
